SMOK has been in the vape game for a really long time and this year they step into a new field of pod systems that they just release three pod systems in a row, SMOK Rolo Badge Pod kit, Fit Pod kit and Inifinix Pod kit. All of them have one main thing in common, which is refillable.
SMOK Rolo Badge comes in a small box package. You’re also going to receive two pods, a user manual, a micro USB charging cable, and a bottle for you to refill eliquid. Inside the SMOK Infinix Pod kit package there is an Infinix pod kit, two refillable pods, a user manual, one micro USB charging cable and a bottle for refilling eliquid. Next is the SMOK Fit pod kit, which comes with a SMOK Fit pod kit, two refillable pods, a user manual, a micro USB charging cable and a bottle for refilling eliquid. SMOK Rolo Badge pod kit, SMOK Fit kit and SMOK Infinix pod kit are three very distinct devices even though they actually look close in their form factor. As far as materials the Rolo Badge kit is stated as being made out of zinc alloy. The Inifinix and Fit kit are made of aluminum.
The weight of the Rolo Badge is proximately 69g. The weight of the Infinix kit is approximately 20 grams and the weight of the Fit Pod kit is approximately 20 grams. The SMOK Rolo Badge Pod kit measures seventy three point three millimeters by 50 millimeters by 12 millimeters. It’s available in prism chrome, prism black, prism gold prism blue and prism rainbow colors. The prism chrome version looks very shiny but also has a fingerprint magnet problem.
The SMOK Infinix pod kit measures 110 millimeters by 12.5 millimeters by 11 millimeter while the SMOK Fit pod kit measures 107.5 millimeters by 18.4 millimeters by 8 millimeters. The finish of the Fit pod kit is really good, it is kind of a sandblasted finish but it still feels very smooth.
As to the battery capacity, all of them are advertised to have the same exact battery capacity which is 250 milliamps hour. The Rolo Badge pod kit looks like a badge, which is actually a pretty funny shape. There is a Rolo engraved on the front and an LED light and the SMOK Badge on the bottom. On the left you have the micro USB port. The LED light will come on every time you puff on it but also when you are charging the device it will be a red light. When charging and puffing on it it is actually a white light. The extra two pods included in the package are exactly the same pods that are refillable. They also include the capacity and the wattage. The full wattage on a full battery will decrease along with internal battery discharges. Although you have all those specs you don’t have the resistance of the coil. Assembled inside you can clearly see through the mouthpiece that the coil is just a simple round wire coil. The wicking material is regular Japanese organic cotton. You can get the resistance of the coil inside, which is approximately 1.23ohm, by measuring resistance at the contacts. On the top again we do have the mouthpiece and then on the bottom we have the positive and negative contacts. We also have little magnets that attach inside of the device. Inside the device though where the body is going to connect you can see two screws as well as two magnets and then we have the puff switch that detects every time you puff. We also have a spring-loaded positive and negative contacts that make contact with the cartridge. Pulling the rubber gasket you can see some wiring inside and again the sensor in the PCB where the positive and negative contacts are assembled. The refilling bottle included in the package has a very small tip, although you may still be lucky refilling with regular bottles. The included bottle is a much better choice, not that good of a choice to carry around because if you carry around bottles like that all the time inside of your pocket, the silicon plug that closes the tip tends to get damaged after a while. To fill the pod you just have to have some decent nails to pull the silicon tab that is going to expose the fill hole. You also have another tab on the other side that I do recommend you to pull especially if you intend to fill these style of pods with bigger tips so that way the air can escape through the other side. You don’t really need to if you use a syringe to find how much the pod really holds.Fill all the way up the SMOK Rolo Badge is able to hold 2.5ml of liquid. After closing the plug and slide the pod in, it fits in place fairly. Seems like the magnets do not help or anything as it is actually staying in place much better just by being press fit, because the pod section is a little bit larger you actually feel the tension inserting the pot in and that’s probably what’s actually holding the pot.
The SMOK Infinix Pod come in a shape pretty similar to the SMOK Fit pod kit. On one side of the Infinix pod kit we have Infinix engraved and the LED light, on the other side we have SMOK engraved, on top we do have the connection for the pod and on the bottom we have the micro USB charging port. The light lights up white when you are puffing but turns into red when you are charging through the micro USB port. The pods of Infinix are also quite similar to the Fix. They are all refillable with a plastic mouthpiece seal around the pod. There’s also a clear tank that displays the liquid inside. But even when it is fully assembled it still doesn’t display the liquid inside that well. We have a very small opening even though it’s clear it is transparent but still doesn’t display the liquid inside that well. So I would still need to shake it around or remove the pod once in a while to check the liquid level. On the bottom there is a connector with the positive and negative gold-plated contacts and an air hole where you can see the coil inside when you look through such as the other one. The coil is just a simple round wire coil using organic cotton as a wicking material. On top you have the mouthpiece and then on the side there’s a fill port. To fill it again you just have to have some decent nails to pull this silicon plug and fill it right there, you want to have a fill hole so you do not have an additional hole for the air to escape even though the hole is slightly wider than the previous one. The resistance of the coil is 1.36ohm. To fill the pod you can use a syringe to find how much this one holds. Pull the silicon cap up and fill it all the way up to the top and you can find that the pod holds approximately 2ml of liquid. Once you fill it you just have to plug the fill hole, slide it back in and vape on it. The way the Infinix holds the pod is a little bit more secure than the Rolo Badge. It’s secured by pressure and again it stays in place much better than the Rolo Badge.
With the SMOK Fit kit you have the LED indicator whose light is going to light up white when you are puffing, and turns to red when it is currently charging. Although on one side we have SMOK engraved, on the other side we have Fit, on the back there’s nothing, on the bottom there’s a micro USB charging port, and on the top is the connector for the pod. Inside the Fit body, you have spring-loaded positive and negative contacts and notches on each one of the sides. The pod on the Fit kit is definitely press fit that it stays in place by pressure. The Fit pod contains of a plastic black mouth piece and a pretty much clear tank that is clear on one side and then frosted on the rest of the tank. On top again there is a mouthpiece with the little hole in the center and then on the bottom we have the positive and negative contacts and also the bottom you can clearly see inside that the coil is going to be pretty much the same just a simple round wire coil using regular Japanese organic cotton as wicking material through the air holes. As far as the resistance of the coil inside, it’s about 1.36ohm. This Fit pod is a little bit different from the Infinix pod because with the Infinix pod you actually have to remove the pod to refill it, with the Fit pod it doesn’t really matter as you can keep the pod attached to the device and you can refill it on the go whenever you want. The filling hole on the Fit pod is pretty much as wide as the Infinix pod. It fits a refill bottles with wider tips just fine, but still do not shove it in there otherwise you may be blocking the air from escaping. The Fit pod is able to hold 1.2 ml of liquid. Close the silicon plug and plug it into the device you’re good to go.
