First impression on the Pulse 80w BF Mod
The Pulse 80W BF mod by Tony B & VandyVape looks very cool with resin panels. Although it has a chip to fit, it’s not much bigger than the original mechanical Pulse BF mod, measuring 82mm in height, 56mm in length and 27mm in width. It feels very comfortable in hand and it’s quite easy to take out and install the battery, you can just take apart the front and back panels, and push the battery from the back, it will go out easily. The squonk bottle is able to hold 8ml eliquid, and if you get a high end version of Pulse 80W mod, you will also receive a 30ml silicon refill bottle.

Pulse 80w BF Mod Performance
The Pulse 80W BF mod is quite easy to use. You don’t even need the user manual if you ever use some other regulated mods before. It’s easy to navigate. You have Power mode, Voltage adjustment mode, Bypass mode, temperature control mode and User defined temperature control mode, with multiple protections, including over heating protection, over current protection, short circuit protection, open circuit protection, overtime protection and low battery warning. The Pulse 80W BF mod works great on power mode with pretty accurate reading although it could be a little bit over power. It hits hard while pressing the fire button, making you feel the power. The wattage can be adjusted in 1 watt and the degree is also under adjustment of 1C. When it comes to temperature control mode, it does not perform as well as those DNA chip mods, or Yihi chip mods or Gene chip mods. You can adjust the TCR curve by yourself though.

Likes:
Clicky buttons
Replaceable back and front panels
Improved squonk bottle
Refilling bottle for choices
Big white positive and negative battery placement sign
Performs pretty well under wattage mode
Solid build quality
Fit 20700 & 18650 battery
Multiple protections

Dislikes:
Not quite good TC
1 watt increment
1 degree increment
Can’t dry burn again before the coil cools down
Can’t fire instantly after sitting around for a few minutes

Conclusion
If you’re a TC vape guy, the Pulse BF 80W mod might not be your best choice. And if you’re an MTL vaper, the Pulse 80W BF mod might not satisfy you as well because the wattage can only be adjusted by 1 watt, no 0.1 watt adjustment. Sometimes a 0.1 watt difference on wattage can turn out to be huge difference on performance for MTL vapers. If you vape under Power mode most of the time, you can get the Pulse BF 80W mod, it’s a solid regulated squonk mod for sure.
