Today we’re taking a look at another vape kit from Aspire, the Aspire SkyStar Revvo Kit that comes with SkyStar 210W Touch Screen Mod and Revvo Tank.
Inside the box you’ll receive an Aspire SkyStar mod with a very glossy finish. It also comes with protective films to protect the screen from scratching. The Aspire SkyStar mod has a touch screen and a very nice 510 center pin, and it’s able to house dual 18650 batteries. You’ll also receive a warning card in regards of batteries safety and a user manual for the SkyStar Kit.
Then you’ll find a Revvo tank, a spare glass tank, a vape band including a cap that allows you to close literally the mouthpiece, a replacement coil head, a bunch of spare silicon orings, and a nice USB charging/firmware upgrading cable inside the package.
The Revvo Tank is a 24mm diameter tank, 36.5mm tall including the mouthpiece/drip tip. The mouthpiece/drip tip and top cap are in an integrated all-in-one structure. It’s a pretty unique and completely new style tank that uses patented ARC(Aspire Radial Coil). To refill the tank, you can just unscrew the top cap section. Then you’ll see the coil is held in place by a center screw, and that is the spring loaded valve where you’re going to refilling liquid from. When pushing the valve down, you can refill liquid, and when the valve comes back in place the refill port is close. It’s not quite easy to top fill the tank though. A unicorn bottle with glass seal around the tip is recommended to refilling otherwise it might be messy. On the side you’ll find the top airflow entries with a very nice knurling around the adjustment ring, staying very well in place. There’re 3 airflow holes in total and there’s also a stopper.
On the bottom there’s a glass tank and a very nice knurling around the base as well. The 510 pin seems to be gold plated, but it’s non-adjustable.
Unscrewing the whole top section of the Revvo Tank, you’ll see the ARC holding in place by the center screw. To unscrew the center screw, you can take the ARC coil out, which has an oring around the side. The heating element of the ARC is made from Kanthal. With the top airflow system, the air goes in through the openings then it travels down around the central bell cap to hit the coil and travels back up.
The SkyStar mod is completely rounded with curves on each side, feeling very comfortable in hand. It’s got variable wattage(VW), variable voltage(VV) and temperature control(TC) function, working with resistance between 0.1ohm – 0.5ohm. On the top we’re going to have a gold plated spring loaded 510 center pin. The SkyStar mod can take up to 25mm diameter tanks without any overhang. On the front of the mod we’re going to have a protruding frame with a clicky fire button in the capacitive touch screen. And that is the only physical button on the mod. There’s also a USB port for charging and firmware upgrading under the OLED screen. On the back we’ll have a battery door, and at the bottom we’ll see the name SkyStar designed by LG and CE certification. The battery door is held by very strong magnets that you might find it a bit difficult to take if off although there’s a little opening to put your finger in there. We’ll also have a very nice beefy and really good battery tab. Inside the mod you’ll see big engraved battery indicators. The SkyStar Mod takes 2 18650 batteries to work.
To get started to use the touch screen function of the mod, you basically need to know about three gestures. Swiping down twice you’ll see the main menu. Swiping up twice you’ll be able to adjust the wattage, temperature, etc. Swiping from the right to the left you can go back to the last menu.
Overall the Aspire SkyStar Revvo Kit is very nice regulated kit.
