First impression
The Kylin M RTA is a pretty controversary RTA since it has an almost identical deck as the Profile Unity RTA. Sincerely we cannot tell any difference between the decks upon first sight of the Kylin M RTA. The only difference is that the Kylin M RTA features top honeycomb airflow system while the Profile Unity RTA has bottom airflow holes, making it less possible for the Kylin M RTA to leak. You got pretty much everything you need in the package to start rocking the RTA, which is a very good point.
Build & Wick
Building coils on the Kylin M RTA is just as simple as you do with the Profile Unity RTA. There’re Philips head screws on both sides of the clamp that you can either use a Philip head or flat head screw driver to loosen them. Those clamps are spring-loaded so as to make sure the cotton is making good contact with the mesh coil. You just need to form the mesh coils provided in the package in a round shape with something like a coil jig and insert the ends into the clamp posts. And then dry burn the coil with a low wattage to see if there’s any hot spot and burn off anything there. As far as wicking goes you have really big wick slots on both sides and the wicking just feeds in from the bottom. With the agleted cotton laces provided in the package, it’s pretty simple to wick the Kylin M RTA up
Performance
I find the Kylin M coils work the best between 60-70w, I got pretty good flavor vaping at such wattage range. Putting over 70w on the kylin m rta with the coils they provided would burn the coils and give you a dry hit. Since the Kylin M RTA has a top airflow system, I never had any leaking issue with it, unlike the other Kylin series RTAs with bottom airflow system. However, this Kylin M RTA does sound a little bit noisier than the Profile Unity RTA, it delivers more airflow than the profile unity rta as well. With the spring-loaded clamp system, it wicks pretty efficiently. I wish the Kylin M RTA juice capacity could be bigger so that we don’t have to refill the tank so frequently.
Pros:
- Leak-proof
- Pretty good flavor
- Easy to build and wick
- Top-notch build quality
Cons:
- A little bit noisy
- Small juice capacity
