Recently we’ve got a new member, the Aegis Solo 100W Mod, added to the Aegis family, which were known for their durability due to the water proof, shock proof and dust proof features. With so many options out there, some of us may get confused as to which mod should we choose and what are the differences between them. In this article we’re going to do an ultimate comparison between the Aegis Solo, Aegis Mini, Aegis Legend and Aegis 100W Mod.
Comparison on Parameters
Now let’s break the Aegis Solo, Aegis Mini, Aegis Legend and Aegis 100W mod down one by one.
The Aegis 100w mod is the very first water proof, shock proof and dust proof mod from Geekvape, which has been a great success since it first hit the market back in 2017. It’s almost the most indestructible mod when it was released. But it’s quite heavy due to the compatibility of 26650 battery. This mod has been discontinued by manufacturer after the other Aegis series mods came out.
The Aegis Legend is the second generation of the Aegis series mod. Unlike the cylinder shape Aegis 100w mod, the Aegis Legend stretches out from sides and makes itself a cuboid. It uses high grade silicon, leather and alloy that contributes to better durability. Aegis Legend mod is the most classic one for high wattage vapers. Housing dual 18650 batteries, it’s able to fire up to 200W. If you prefer to vape at high wattage, the Aegis Legend mod is a good choice for you.
The Aegis Mini is pretty like a mini version of the Aegis 100w mod. The constructions are similar. With the Aegis Mini, you can fire up to 80W. Even though it’s got a built-in battery of 2200mAh, it’s still quite lighter than the Aegis 100W mod. If you’re travelling or a vaper that needs to carry the mod away too often, the Aegis Mini can be a good choice for you as it’s a small solid mod.
The Aegis Solo is the latest edition of the Aegis series mod. It looks quite similar to the Aegis Mini, except that it’s a bit taller as it needs space for compliment of 18650 battery. For me, I personally like the Aegis Solo because I can use my own favorite 18650 battery with it and charge the battery externally. If you enjoy using the first Aegis 100w mod, the Aegis Solo won’t let you down.
