Rebuildable Atomizers – RDA, RTA & RDTA | What are they and which one is best for you?

rebuildable atomizer

Today we’re going to talk about different kinds of rebuildable atomizers and help you decide which one is right for you.

First, let’s comprehend several complicated concepts. They are RBA, RDA, RTA, RDTA. If they are confusing, then follow me to figure out what they are.

What’s RBA?

RBA is Rebuildable Atomizer, and it’s essentially a generic term for all rebuildable atomizers. That means it includes RDA, RTA, RDTA.

What’s RDA?

RDA represents Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer, also named Drippers. RDA  is one of the initial forms of RBA and it still hits the market today. Many vapers claim that it’s one of the best ways to get a large amount of flavor and vapor.

How does RDA work?

Before you use an RDA, you have to install your coils and then thread through your cotton. When you vape, you need to drip juice directly on the coils. Then the coil heat the juice and you will get vapor. You have to drop juice again when the cotton is dry. Generally, it happens every four hits. It’s really a frequent thing. But it is one of the most direct ways to vape and you can get a large amount of flavor and vapor. Nowadays we have squonk RDA, with which you can just simply squonk liquid from a squonk mod into the RDA via squonk pin, it makes using RDA much more convenient!

What’s RTA?

RTA represents Rebuildable Tank Atomizer. RTA comes with many different designs, but generally, you install the coil on the base of the atomizer and a tube goes over the top of the build deck. Then juice is feed through the wick holes. It’s convenient as you don’t need to constantly drip juice on your coils.

Attention needed while using RTA

Leaking may happen in RTA. The wick’s another function is stopping your tank from leaking – if you don’t have enough cotton, juice will go into the wick holes and the come out of the airflow. Besides, You need to install suitable coils and set the right wattage so that the RTA can keep up with wicking. It depends on your  experience.

What’s RDTA?

RDTA represents  Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizer. RDTA  is like a RDA comes with a tank which is at the  bottom of the atomizer.

The  wick is put into a juice tank. When you are vaping, juice in the reservoir is absorbed by the wicks and come along to coils. RDTA totally solve the problem of leaking, as the tank is at the bottom of the coil and there is no place for the juice to leak out of unless you leave it on its side. All of your openings like your airflow and whatnot are at the top of the atomizer. However, it can’t produce much vapor because the wick is small and can’t absorb too much juice at a time. If you run in a higher wattage, it might not be able to keep up with wicking.

Conclusion

In short, RDA is good at producing  immense flavor and vapor. But the constant re-drip may bother you. Squonk RDA solves that problem though, you need to get a squonk mod together to get into the squonk field. RTA is convenient and you can also get a large amount of flavor and vapor, but it’s easily to leak out. RDTA is  the perfect combine of the two. It’s convenient and you won’t worry about leaking.  But if you do run in a extremely high wattage, the wick holes won’t keep up.
